Delhi is reeling under unprecedented floods as the Yamuna River is overflowing above the 208 metre mark. The swollen river is currently flowing above 3 metres from the danger mark, and the water level is expected to rise further in the evening due to continued water release from Haryana’s Hathnikund dam. Yamuna’s water has entered the ITO, Red Fort, Civil Lines, Yamuna Bazaar, Majnu Ka Tila, Geeta Colony, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, and several other low-lying areas.
