Indian Army Defends Assam Rifles After Manipur Police FIR; ‘Fabricated Attempts To Malign…’

The Indian Army has come out in support of Assam Rifles after the police filed an FIR against the central paramilitary force. The Indian Army said in a statement that there was a fabricated attempt to malign the Assam Rifles. On Saturday, the Manipur police accused Assam Rifles of blocking their way when they were chasing down alleged Kuki militants. The police claimed that these armed militants had killed three people earlier that day.
