Anantnag Encounter: Army’s 7-Day Manhunt Ends With Killing Of Lashkar Terrorist Uzair Khan | Details


The week-long anti-terror ‘Operation Garol’ has ended with the killing of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Uzair Khan and another terrorist on Tuesday. A massive search operation, however, continues over the possibility of the presence of a third terrorist. The body of a soldier who went missing during the Anantnag encounter on Wednesday was found. He is identified as 27-year-old Sepoy Pradeep Singh. Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Aashish Dhonchak, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Himayun Muzamil Bhat lost their lives during a gunfight with terrorists in Anantnag on Wednesday.
