This year due to Covid19 pandemic, the results of the students were evaluated on the basis of their past records.

AASU’s Dibrugarh district president Abani Gogoi said: “We are demanding increase in college seats so that no candidates are deprived of higher education.”

“We fear that many candidates will be left out without a seat due to the unprecedented pass percentage in class 10 and class 12 exam results,” he said.

“The colleges don’t have adequate seat capacity to admit all students. This year, very few students will go outside the state for admission due to Covid19 situation. So the pressure will be more on the colleges in the state,” Gogoi said.
