Aung San Biopic Will Be Finished By The End Of Election


Casting director artist Soe Moe from the Aung San biopic production team said that they would try to finish the production by the end of forthcoming 2020 general elections.
“The production of this film will be completed either during general elections or by the end of elections or maybe before the elections but because of restrictions imposed for COVID-19 we have limitations in completing this film,” artist Soe Moe said.
Only scenes containing the Galon U Saw character are left to be shot again because of the change of actor in this role.
“Four fifths of the shooting have been completed. Some scenes are left to be shot again as the actor in the Galon U Saw character had to be changed. Some minor scenes are also left to be shot,” artist Soe Moe said.
The shooting and production work had to be suspended in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Production started at the end of 2018 the budget for is about 1,500 million kyats (over US$ 1 million).
