Amitabh Bachchan doesn’t shy away from doing stuff, that is not movies, and his next project seems to be an interesting one.
If reports are anything to go by, Amitabh Bachchan will lend his voice to Google Maps and will power navigation for the same. However, no official announcement has been made on this issue, but some media reports suggest the aforementioned.
Amitabh Bachchan’s voice has forever been looked for by brands and people as it carries its own flavour. He has lent his voice for many movies already and has literally nailed his presence each time.
Coming back to the news, now people will be able to hear more of Amitabh Bachchan as a recent report by Mid Day has revealed that the search engine giant, or in this case the navigation app Google Maps has approached Amitabh Bachchan to bring his voice to the app’s turn-by-turn navigation.
As of now, we hear the voice of New York-based entertainer Karen Jacobsen on Google Maps. However, it doesn’t sound accurate most of the time as the entertainer goofs up with the Indian names of the places. Well, mow it might soon change.
The sources (who do not wish to be named) said in a statement to Mid Day, “Amitabh Bachchan has the most influential and recognisable baritone. Hence, he is the best choice for the voice of Google Maps. He has been approached, but the contract has not been signed yet. It’s up to Bachchan now.”
