BSF APPREHENDED A BANGLADESHI PHENSEDYL SMUGGLER, PRESENTED AN EXAMPLE OF FRIENDSHIP BY HANDING OVER TO BGB ON REQUEST
On January 01, 2022, a Bangladeshi Phensedyl smuggler was apprehended by the jawans deployed in the border area of Sector Behrampur under South Bengal Frontier. On the request of BGB, the smuggler was handed over to BGB by BSF, taking the assurance of proper legal action, due to good friendship in India-Bangladesh.
The incident took place at Border Out Post Uday, 141 Battalion at around 1630 hrs, when a Bangladeshi smuggler was trying to smuggle Phensedyl. But due to the alertness of the BSF troops, the smuggler was apprehended. On frisking, 77 Phensedyl bottles were recovered from the possession of smuggler.
The smuggler identified as-Mohammad Kamal Ali (Age17 years), S/o- Gadal Ali, Village- Munshiganj (Kustiya).
The smuggler revealed that these Phensedyl bottles were given to him by Subo Mandal (25), S/o– Sanatan Mandal, village – Nurserypada (Nadiya). These Phensedyl bottles were to be handed over to Rakibul (30), S/o- Bipad and Momin, father- Altaf, both residents- Munshiganj (Kustiya).
Since India-Bangladesh friendship is very good, for this reason a flag meeting was organized at the behest of BGB, in which BGB requested to hand over the apprehended smuggler to them. Later, the apprehended smuggler was handed over to BGB by BSF, after taking assurance of proper legal action on the request of BGB.
Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier stated that the friendly relations between India and Bangladesh are very good. Both the countries are trying to stop smuggling on the International Boundary. The smugglers apprehended today have been handed over to Bangladesh on the request of BGB, taking assurance of appropriate legal action. Officer stated in strong words that they are determined to completely stop smuggling from their area.
