Credit outreach programme to be organised in Dhubri on Oct 29

A Credit Outreach Initiative Programme will be organized in Dhubri on October 29 under the aegis of the Dhubri district administration in joint cooperation with the Dhubri district Lead Bank.

A meeting was held in this regard recently under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Dhubri, Kanta Das at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri.

In the meeting, the Lead District Manager, DDM NABARD, Director RSETI, the district coordinators of different banks as well as the government’s line departments were present.

The Lead District Manager (LDM), Dhubri Nabin Kumar appraised the house that as per the instruction of the Department of Finance Services (DFS), New Delhi and SLBC, Assam, a Credit Outreach Program is going to be organized in Dhubri on October 29, 2021 at RSETI Building, Dhubri.

The Lead District Manager (LDM) further advised the banker to focus on PMMY, PMEGP, Standup India, PMSVANidhi, ECLGS (Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme), AIF (Agriculture Infrastructure Fund) Animal Husbandry & Fishery, PM Kissan, NULM, NRLM and government-sponsored proposals.

The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Dhubri Kanta Das advised the bankers to participate in the programme wholeheartedly and grasp this opportunity for augmentation of credit offtake to all-round economic growth of the district.

“Bankers to give a wide publicity of the Credit Outreach in the rural areas so that public will be apprised about the program and contact the nearest Bank Branch and get benefited,” said the DDC.

The LDM informed that during Outreach Program, stalls are put up by every member bank including NABARD & RSETI with the display of their various products for creating awareness among the public.

The Director RSETI told that the economy bounces back and green shoots are visible, so it is a time that banks start the Outreach Program and take benefit from the Festive Season for expanding credit.

The DDM NABARD advised the bankers that focus to be also given in their banners displayed on stalls, on financial inclusion schemes and digital payment methods to encourage customers and merchants to increasingly shift to these payment modes.

“This programme will be organised in a bid to create awareness among the people about the bank schemes and different initiatives taken by the government as well and in which all public sector banks, KVIC, NABARD, UIDAI will participate in the program,” said the LDM.
