FOUR BANGLADESHI YOUTHS INADVERTENTLY CROSSED THE INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY, BSF APPREHENDED AND HANDED OVER THEM TO BGB AS A GOODWILL GESTURE
Occasionally incident of inadvertent crossing of border happens on the Indo–Bangladesh Border, in which innocent farmers and villagers cross the border inadvertently and are apprehended near the IB. These innocent person are handed over to Bangladesh, on humanitarian ground and goodwill gesture.
On December 24, 2021, at 1330 hrs, in the area of Border Out Post Jalangi, 141 Battalion (Murshidabad), 4 Bangladeshi youths inadvertently crossed the International Boundary and entered into Indian territory. After crossing over of IB, they were detained by BSF Patrolling Party.
On enquiry, they revealed their identity:-
1- Name- Mithon (22), Father- Pieces Mandal, Village-Taragunia (Kustiya).
2- Ripon Malik (30), Father- Amirul Malik, Village- Targuniya (Kustiya).
3- Mohammad Ashraful Islam (30), father- Mohammad Jalloudin Chand, village- Satbaria (Kustia).
4- Rubel Hussain (28), father- Sah Ali, told village- Targunia.
On further enquiry, they revealed that they had come to visit their in-laws’ house and inadvertently crossed the International Boundary and entered Indian territory.
The four apprehended Bangladeshi youths were handed over to the BGB during flag meeting at 4 pm, playing a relationship of goodwill and humanity.
BSF Public Relations Officer stated that our jawans keep a close watch on people crossing the border in any way along with illegal infiltration. Bangladeshi nationals apprehended by BSF have been safely handed over to Bangladesh after investigation.
