The Guwahati petrol pumps bandh called by the North East India Petroleum Dealers Association (NEIPDA) has been called off.

The 48-hour bandh has been called off by the NEIPDA after oil companies reportedly agreed to the demands raised by the association.

The NEIPDA agreed to calling off the bandh after the oil companies agreed to fulfil its demands in a meeting called by the Kamrup-M deputy commissioner between oil companies, petroleum dealers and district administration.

The NEIPDA had called for the 48-hour bandh from 6am on Friday (October 22) till 6am on October 24 to press for its 10-point charter of demands relating to various issues concerning petroleum dealership.
