MANIPUR MARTYR HONOURED AT PANAGARH MILITARY STATION

Mortal remains of Rifleman Shyamal Das, of 46 Assam Rifles who was martyred in an attack on an Assam Rifles convoy in the Singhat sub-division of Churachandpur, Manipur on Saturday 13 Nov 21 were brought to Panagarh Military Station on 14 Nov 21.

In a befitting ceremony honouring the valour, bravery and sacrifice made by the gallant soldier, wreaths were laid by the General Officer Commanding, Brahmastra Corps on behalf of The Chief of Army staff and General officer Commanding in Chief , Eastern Command alongwith other Officers, Junior Commissioned officers and Other Ranks. Rich tributes were paid to the brave heart.

The mortal remains of Rifleman Shyamal Das will be taken from Panagarh to his native place Khargram, District Murshidabad on 15 November 2021 (Monday) for the final rites of the martyr. The martyr is survived by Smt Suparna Das, his wife.
