If coronavirus wasn’t enough, earthquakes shook up Delhi and when even that was not enough, something mysterious in England has got people guessing what the world is headed to.
People in Cambridgeshire on Sunday woke up to images of something mysterious appearing in the England sky. Gerry Underwood, who has earlier captured shooting stars, captured this event too. He, however, said that it was nothing like he has ever seen in his life.
Gerry objected to the chances of the thing being a meteorite. He said a meteorite would have diminished in seconds, but the burning object was in the sky for over 20 to 25 mins.
“It looked like a short, skinny cloud. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a meteorite, because they are gone in seconds. We have seen hundreds of shooting stars, but this definitely wasn’t that either. This was coming down very slowly and spiralling. It started to glow orange as you can see in the pictures. There were flames coming out of the back of it as well. It was really unusual”.
The Express UK, however, reported that National Space Academy has now offered a possible theory that suggests that the trail was contrail from a “high altitude jet.”
The report added the possibility that the orange could have been a reflection of the sunrays from the setting sun and the twirling motion could have been due to wind speed or turbulence.
