A media report quoted Paiwang as saying that Union minister Scindia “agreed” to take up the projects in Nagaland soon.
It has been reported that the Nagaland government has already purchased a plot of land measuring 1013.72 acres at Ciethu.
The land is ready to be handed over to the Airport Authority of India (AAI).
The civil aviation ministry hired M/s Creative Group to prepare a DPR, the report said.
The Ciethu airport was proposed in 2003 when former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee visited Kohima.
