Top Militant Leader Of B’desh Mamunul Arrested


Mamunul Haque , Joint Secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam , has been detained in Bangladesh by the detective branch.

The top militant preacher is in Tejgaon police station now. 
He will be sent to Dhaka city detective branch (DB) headquarter and then will be produced before the court, Harun Ar Rashid, deputy commissioner of Tejgaon division, told Easternlink

A DB team detained Mamunul  from Rahmania Madrasa in capital’s Mohammadpur area, where Mamunul was staying at the madrasa after the Sonargaon resort incident.
Earlier on 6 April, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Deputy Commissioner Syed Nurul Islam said police will arrest Mamunul Haque if he is found involved in recent countrywide  violence  from 26-31 March, especially  in Dhaka, Chittagong,  Brahmanbaria and others parts of the country.
