Trump-Biden Electoral War: ‘The Squad’

The election of the USA and its result created a doggerel situation in the USA where Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s electoral war was not only limited within a mere election but this time the AOC squad created a strong ground for women from different roots. These four female candidates of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives appealed for their re-elections where they all have 1 year more to hold the same position.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez belonging to the Working Families Party under the Democratic Party holds her representation from the 14th Congressional District of New York. This 31 years old member of the House of Representatives won the re-election by 105,455 votes which carry (68.7%) votes in her district.

The second member of ‘The Squad’ is Rashida Tlaib who too ran for re-election with AOC and others. This representative of the Democratic Party holds a seat for Michigan’s 13th congressional district. She is the first Muslim woman to serve Michigan House of Representatives won by 84,890 votes (67%).

Ilhan Omar, the 3rd member of ‘The Squad’ represents Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District. She is the first Somali-American person elected to the US Congress. She, representing the Democratic Party, won the re-election by 252,939 votes (64.3%).

The Squad’s fourth member is the representative of the Massachusetts 7th congressional district. Ayanna Pressley is the first black woman elected to the Boston city council. She got 104,593 votes(87%). She previously has worked as a senior aide for Congressman John P. Kennedy and Senator John Kennedy.

The AOC Squad belongs from different cultures and represents the native Americans who received popularity among the Americans during the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement for their stand against Racism, Gender Equality, and Xenophobia as ‘The Squad’.             Going extreme against Trump’s nature towards different race and gender brought the black lives matter movement forward and acceptance of ‘The Squad’ in the election of 2020 whereafter AOC tweeted on 3rd November after winning the re-election, “When your sisterhood is so powerful the President of the United States can’t stop thinking about it”. The AOC Squad belongs from different cultures and represents the native Americans who received popularity as ‘The Squad’ among the Americans for their stand against Racism, Gender Equality, and Xenophobia.
